Our unique fried pastry originated in Japan and are known for their crispy exterior and chewy inside. Fat Straws mochi donuts are made with mochi flour (Japanese sweet rice flour). Each mochi donut is hand-dipped in house-made glaze.
The most distinctive feature is their unique chewy, stretchy texture. Unlike regular donuts that are fluffy and cake-like or yeast-risen and airy, mochi donuts have a delightfully chewy bite that comes from the rice flour. When you pull them apart, they stretch rather than crumble.
